This Saturday September 30th, 2017 is National Public Lands day and one of our biggest advocates for Public Lands, First Lite, has an amazing donation program. They already offer the Round Up for Conservation program where you can round up the price of your purchase and designate the nonprofit Conservation organization you’d like it to go to. On Public Lands Day though they’ll match every donation made dollar for dollar!
I’ve been using First Lite for over year now and have really fallen in love with the gear, it’s performance, the fit and the company behind it. They’re passionate outdoorsman and women focused on making quality gear and preserving our public lands. As a quick commentary I have the SEAK Stormtight Jacket which is pricey but an amazing jacket. I’ve used it in a wide range of temperatures but the best testament to it’s performance came from a month in the Brooks Range of Alaska. My friend Brian Hallberg spent a month with a guide on Dall Sheep and Grizzly hunts in Alaska. As he was prepping for the trip to make it more affordable I offered to let him borrow some gear one item being the SEAK Stormtight Jacket. Not only did it hold up to the abuse of 30 days of hunting in temperatures from mid 70’s to low 20’s but in one of the most unforgiving and wet environments on the planet and it outperformed it’s competitors in camp.
Additionally their Uncomphagre puffy has become a staple of any outing whether hunting, hiking or camping and of course all their Merino Wool garments are absolutely amazing. So if you have any gear purchases in mind definitely check out First Lite and do it this Saturday 9/30, at check out ‘Round Up for Conservation’ and First Lite will match it!
