Once again the team at Rockhouse Motion has produced a visually stunning film in the new release ‘Beyond The Roar’. This time it’s an 18 minute look into the journey of Aaron Hitchins and Will O’Brien as they venture into the Yukon in search of moose. While that alone would make a great story the background and context of the adventure make it all come together. Aaron and Will embark on the journey as a means to honor the life of a recently deceased friend. Along the way they are faced with amazing success that Aaron concedes has a lot to do with luck but they also encounter obstacles in the form or roaring whitewater which is to be traversed in their hard shell canoe.
To talk about the content of the film without taking a look at how it was filmed would do this film and Rockhouse a disservice. Rockhouse OG Matt White was behind the lens for this journey and managed to create some amazing imagery in some very inhospitable conditions. The story alone is good but when paired with the imagery captured by Matt it makes it truly great.
